DJ and presenter Nick Luscombe, presents the first of two podcasts showcasing the first musical collaboration between HTSE, the ICA and the Roundhouse. We hear from two artists specially selected by Nick for the programme, renowned electronica artist si-cut.db and up-and-coming pop-indie kid Rod Thomas. The two had never met, and were thrown together in the EMI rehearsal studio at the Roundhouse, where Sarah, our reporter from Roundhouse Radio, has been keeping an eye on them. The pair have been writing together, preparing for their first live performances at the Roundhouse on Sunday 4 November and at the ICA on Thursday 15 November.
We also bring you a backstage chat with jazz wunderkid Jamie Cullum during the BBC's Electric Proms, on collaborating with Japan's Soil & "Pimp" Sessions, deejay extraordinaire Norman Jay tells us why he loves a good collaboration and we even caught Sir Paul McCartney when he popped into Roundhouse Radio. All this plus si-cut.db and Rod Thomas making some gorgeous music.
