I‎n 2016 and 2017 MFAI began discussions a collaboration with Elmhurst Ballet School in bringing dance to autistic youth in Birmingham. This programme was led by Errol Pickford and his young pupils at Elmhurst. Previously Errol was the former Principal Dancer at The Royal Ballet, who both performed and taught dance in several countries. In 2018, at the age of 51, Errol passed from a series of strokes following a surgery. He was also a dear personal friend who has been dearly missed since his passing.
